FOTOS : Billabong Bro Down 2012 Finals

With a great course, and the sun playing hide and seek all day, it was Final’s day at the 2012 Billabong Bro Down. The Kiwi riders performed really well, scoring spots on the podium in all divisions, including Christy Prior (1st place Women’s) and Stef Zeestraten (1st place Open Men’s). Here are some photos I did for Manual Magazine.

FOTOS : Billabong Bro Down 2012 Qualis

90 competitors from 15 countries took over the Billabong Bro Down Slope-style course at Snow Park NZ today. The course featured two jib features, followed by three jumps (20+, 40+ and 70+) and one last jib feature at the bottom. Kiwis Shelly Gotlieb, Stef Zeestraten and Tim Herbert rode well, qualifying 1st on their own heats. Here’s a few snaps from Day one that I did for Manual Magazine.

Video: Wanaka and Queenstown Timelapses

Due the lack of snow in the area, I decided to learn a bit about timelapses … and here’s the result of a bit over 1 day/night of shooting and few days editing the 6000+ photos.
To add some extra motivation I had the chance to test the Genie for dolly / panning motion controlled shots. Thanks to Syrp (syrp.co.nz/) for lending me the gear, I did learn a lot from the mistakes I made and now I’m really keen to get out and do some serious stuff.

Late season sleding

Just before put my sled on storage for the season we had to go for one more mission, despite there was no new snow at all. Good fun anyway, new terrain and new challenges thanks to the dirt and hard pack snow. See you next year sled, I’ll miss you.

Roundhill Road Trip, Trip Day 2

Second day at Roundhill, we got an even bigger crew, not much snow left but we were really welcome by the Roundhill crew … doesn’t happen to often so good time indeed.

Roundhill Road Trip, Trip Day 1

A mini road trip we did a few days ago to Roundhill, full on sled head with beautiful scenery … ahhh. There’s some terrain in there for sure!.

Today we went for a little exploratory mission, just scoping new places for next year. It was all fun until I got a bit too muddy and there was no place to turn around … good times!.
